The Protea was South Africa's first locally-designed and built road car, predating the better-known GSM Dart by about 6 months. It was built by a company called G.R.P. Engineering in Johannesburg in very limited numbers - it's not exactly clear how many were made. Of course, as was popular at the time, and also the case with the Dart, motorsport was very much the goal, so the Protea was meant to be light and nimble.

Like the Protea, this print will be available in very limited numbers (50 each in A2 and A3, and each will be numbered by hand). Printed on high-quality paper with a satin finish, these prints look best behind glass and with a thin frame (not included).

Artist Wayne Batty describes the process of creating our stunningly accurate images from scratch.
