Designed by the legendary Harley Earl, the first generation of Oldsmobile's Series 60 was produced only from 1939 to 1940 before the second-generation arrived.

It was built in a variety of bodystyles, including stations wagons, coupes and convertibles and is closely related to the period Chevrolet Special Deluxe and Pontiac Deluxe.

This '39 four-door sedan is an unfinished project, but much of the necessary work to get it back on the road has already been completed. All body work has been done (panel beating and spray painting). It is fitted with a new stainless steel exhaust and the fuel tank has been cleaned and coated internally, and new fuel lines have been fitted.

It also has a new sender unit for fuel level, a recored radiator, redone brake master cylinder and brake shoes and new wiring (including indicators). The engine is running. It will require new tyres.

The car has no papers or engine number. It was acquired by its now-deceased owner in the '70s along with several other vintage cars. Sadly the owner passed away before he could complete the restoration of all the cars and the recent work has been overseen by his son. The car is now just a few steps away from being back on the road.
