First shown to the world in 1961, the Malcolm Sayer-designed E-Type stunned even the fiercest critic (Enzo Ferrari), who was quoted as describing the new Jaguar as "the most beautiful car ever made." Praise doesn't come much higher than that!

Series 1 E-Types were produced from 1961 until 1967, initially with a 3.8L engine, and later with the 4.2L straight-six, as featured here. A Series 1 Roadster fitted with the 4.2L straight-six engine is generally believed to be the most desirable E-Type of all, and that is exactly what this example is!

This red beauty has been cared for by the same owner for about 20 years and is in excellent all-round condition. Its odo shows less than 36 000km and it still has its original paint and the interior is completely original, down to the radio!
