Produced from 1965 to 1976, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I was the marque's first unibody vehicle and its stunningly long production life resulted in it achieving the largest production volume of any Rolls-Royce model.
Penned by John Polwhele Blatchley, the Silver Shadow I is instantly recognisable as a Rolls-Royce and still has significant road presence today. Compared with its predecessor, it boasted "new" features such as disc brakes and independent rear suspension. Ride quality, courtesy of a hydropneumatic suspension system licensed from Citroen, was excellent.
This beautiful red example dates from 1972. It features a contrasting black Everflex roof, and the interior is trimmed in black leather with gloss wood paneling. The 6.75L V8 engine and automatic transmission are mechanically sound and deliver a smooth driving experience.
