The Alfa Romeo Alfetta was an interesting car in many ways. It introduced a transaxle drivetrain layout, coupled with a De Dion tube rear suspension - this configuration, as well as the car's name, came from the successful Tipo 159 Alfetta Formula 1 racing car.
The Alfetta name means "Little Alfa" in Italian, but in reality this was a spacious, family-oriented car, albeit one with a sporting heart. Finally, it was produced in only two countries... Italy and South Africa!
This 1978 Alfetta 2000 has been blown over in its original factory red, and its beautifully preserved, original interior boasts a crack-free dashboard, original owner's manual and books as well as the original tool kit.
Mechanically sound and featuring its original, matching-numbers engine, this Alfetta has recently been serviced and its carburettors have been redone. The rims have been repainted and new tyres have been fitted.
The car's paperwork is in order and is recorded as "used".
