Before there was the first C-Class, the crisply-styled 190E (W201) was the Three-Pointed star's rival for the BMW E30 3 Series. South Africa got the 190E relatively late, so while nearly 1.9 million of these cars were sold globally from 1982 to 1993, it is a relatively rare (and therefore desirable) find in this country.
