When it was introduced in 1996, the first-generation (R170) SLK was quite a radical car for Mercedes-Benz. It saw the company return to the compact sportscar market with a folding hard-top sportster, based on a shortened C-Class platform.
In 2001, the brand introduced the SLK 32 AMG to rival the Porsche Boxster S and BMW Z4-based M Roadster. Power came courtesy of a supercharged 3.2L V6 mated with the marque's five-speed automatic transmission, which also offered manual (tip) shifts. It was a fast little thing, with a 0-100kph time of 5.2 seconds. More importantly, only 4 333 SLK 32 AMGs were made... ensuring exclusivity.
This 2003 example presents exceptionally well in silver metallic on the outside, and black leather in the well-preserved cabin. It has obviously been well-taken care of, given its full service history and overall condition.
Interesting trade-ins will be considered.
