The fifth-generation of Ford's iconic "pony car" was a welcome return to form for the Mustang, which had endured a few below-par iterations in the preceding years. With retro-inspired styling and a new chassis, it was once more a desirable sports-coupe, and sales were strong.

At the time, the fifth-generation Mustang was not officially offered in South Africa, and Ford only started producing right-hand drive Mustangs from Generation 6. However, this particular Gen 5 Mustang does feature right-hand drive, as it was converted from LHD soon after its arrival in South Africa in 2012.

This example is possibly the only one of its kind in South Africa and presents stunningly in metallic red, with silver striping. In addition to the right-hand drive conversion, the car has also benefitted from the fitment of a new exhaust system (to original design specification), a new steering rack, new Pioneer audio system with Apple CarPlay touchscreen infotainment, TCI Gearbox upgrade, new BAE Piston big brake kit and a new cold intake system.
