The event takes place this coming Sunday (20 November) at Broadacres Centre in Fourways.

Thanks to the loyal support of South Africa’s classic car community, this year’s automotive garden party is likely to be one for the record books.

With dedicated showcases celebrating 50 years of BMW M plus a very special 35th birthday party for the Ferrari F40, Concours SA 2022 will continue to impress with the best-of-the-best from the worlds of automotive engineering and design.

Underlining Concours South Africa’s prestigious status, Toyota South Africa is entering its just restored 1968 2000 GT sports car.

The subject of painstaking efforts by two of the continent’s premier restoration shops, chassis number MF10-10207 is creating a media storm to match the Highveld’s current wave of thundershowers!

The Solar Red sportster is now the cornerstone of Toyota Motors South Africa’s private collection. Back in 2020, Toyota Gazoo Racing announced that it would be reproducing replacement parts for the Toyota 2000 GT as part of the GR Heritage Parts Project. This initiative paved the way to a decision made by Toyota South Africa to commission a full bare metal restoration of its unique 2000 GT.

Greg Marucchi - MC of the event - is clearly excited by the addition of the punchy straight six from Iwata…

“I can’t wait to see this sexy little sports car hold its own against the best of Britain, Germany, Italy and the USA. Will this be the year that a Japanese car finally takes CSA “Best of Show?”

In recognition of the large number of influential collectors supporting Concours SA, the entry fee is capped at two cars per entrant I.e. cars three and four will be free of charge.

And entrants benefit from the exclusive “CSA Competitors’ Club” which offers free snacks and refreshments for the duration of the day.

Judging kicks off at 08h00 sharp and the prizegiving - including a charity auction to benefit both Rhino Connect and Jaki ‘s Hearing - is scheduled for 14h00.
