The annual Spring Rally (now in its sixth year) gathering of 70 classic and exotic car enthusiasts raised R300 000 for Red Cross Children’s Hospital on Saturday night.
It was a sight to behold as the vehicles, including new and classic Porsches, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Ford Mustangs and Chevrolet Corvettes, left Lourensford on Saturday morning on a road trip bound for Arniston.
That night, the 120 participants bid on a variety of high-end prizes including wines, luxury weekends away and restaurant vouchers, to contribute towards the worthy cause of the Red Criss Children’s Hospital Trust.
All funds generated will contribute directly to improving healthcare services and facilities for children, furthering the Trust's mission of ensuring that no child goes without the medical care they deserve. The event was the sixth annual such rally contributing towards various worthy causes in the Western Cape.
