With its unique bullet-like appearance and rocketship tail lamps, the third-generation Ford Thunderbird was an instant hit. It was the 1961 Indianapolis 500 pace car and also featured prominently in US president John F. Kennedy's inaugural parade.

These days a third-generation T-Bird makes for a desirable American classic, but finding a good example is becoming difficult. This particular car has been the subject of a detailed, meticulous, down-to-the-metal restoration by a renowned restorer. The restoration is 75% complete, but is now for sale for someone else to complete. All parts required to finish the build are included in the purchase price (most of the parts are brand-new genuine items).
