Car-based pick-ups used to be quite a thing, not only in Australia where these "Utes" continued to be successful until quite recently, but also here in South Africa. Indeed, the Ford Ranchero was once a regular sight on our roads, but is incredibly scarce these days.

This blue beauty is in very good condition all-round, and had a light "blow-over" about two years ago. It has a Mustang front and is powered by a 302cu (4.9L) V8 engine (with electronic ignition) that delivers a lovely rumble. Coupled with a 3-speed automatic, this Ranchero is a great cruiser. Open the doors with their frameless windows and you're greeted by a very original interior in excellent condition.
