With more than half a million units built between 1962 and 1980, the MG B is one of the most popular sportscars of all time and the inspiration for one of the '90s icons, the Mazda MX-5. To this day the MG B remains an attainable, fun classic car, but values have been rising, albeit slowly, and more attractive cars such as this neat chrome-bumper variant are heading only one way in terms of pricing.
The MG B was a relatively modern design at the time of its launch, using monocoque construction and compared with its predecessors (and rivals at the time), boasted a comparatively spacious cabin and usable boot.
This example
This bubblegum blue example is a 1973 chrome bumper model, significantly more desirable than the later rubber-bumper variants. The car is in all-round very good condition given its age, with the expected minor wear and tear you would expect from a car such as this.
The interior is very neat with its black dashboard and tan upholstery. The dashboard and door panels are in particularly good condition and have been well maintained. The engine compartment also presents very well.
