Penned by the legendary William Towns and first introduced in 1972, the Aston Martin V8 had a staggeringly long production run, with the last units being built in 1989!

That long production life does not, however, mean that the V8 Vantage was built in big numbers. In fact, just over 2 000 Coupes were built, making this a very rare car indeed, particularly in South Africa.

The 5.3L V8 engine was shared with the groundbreaking Lagonda luxury sedan of the time and produced enough power to endow this big coupe with stunning performance (and sound).

These days the V8's appeal continues to rise, fueled by a general increase in interest in cars from the '80s, as well as several high-profile film appearances. In addition to its initial starring role in "The Living Daylights", it has since also appeared in a Craig-era Bond film, as well as the Rowan Atkinson spoof series, "Johnny English".

This stunning example dates from 1979. It is finished in dark metallic grey over black leather with plenty of wood. The car's mileage is an indicated 89 299. Finance is available.
