Originally conceived to replace the 911, Porsche's bold 928 was an engineering marvel when it was first unveiled in 1978. It had a very long model life, lasting until 1995, but ultimately the 911 outlived it. 

The 928 represented a break with many Porsche traditions, sporting a V8 under its long hood and a transaxle to achieve the optimum 50/50 weight distribution. Even with the 4.7L V8 (as fitted to this car), the 928 was more of a fast GT than an edgy sportscar.

This blue example dates from 1982 and features a blue leather/cloth interior. With just shy of 260 000km on the odo it needs some cosmetic TLC, but the engine purrs smoothly and it rides well. It is a two-owner car, with the current owner having been its custodian since 1985! It is a matching numbers vehicle with a comprehensively documented service history.
