The Audi Cabriolet (Type 8G) was based on the B3-generation Audi Coupe, itself a close relation to the Audi 80. It was the company's first soft-top since the Auto Union 1000 Sp of 1959 and featured significant structural reinforcements to improve rigidity. It was produced from 1991 to 2000, and very few made it to South African shores.

This lovely white 1996 example is fitted with Audi's punchy 2.6L V6 engine, mated with a smooth automatic transmission.
